Hi guys, Could you please analyse my hand below. Villain's stats: 17/8/1.8 90 hand sample I called the turn instead of rasing, as I was worried about villain having a the higher straight. I believed that if I raise on this turn, then it is unlikely to be called by worse. Cheers, Matt

I'd prefer raising preflop with this hand. It generally plays a lot better with initiative in regards to barreling etc.

As for post flop, I like the way you played it. I would prefer betting bigger on the flop, but it's not a huge deal.

Make sure to make a note on the way he played this hand for the future.

As a general piece of advice, always raise anything suited when the SB merely completes. He'll fold to a raise remarkably often, but even when he doesn't, his range is so weak that he'll check-fold to a c-bet on most boards.

As played, I think you should fold the river. It's a pot-sized bet on a very connected board. With two pairs or a set, villain would check-call. When he leads, it's for sheer value, because he has a straight and he hopes you're the one with two pairs. Your straight is just a bluff-catcher, when there aren't many/(any?) bluffs in villain's range, and you're chopping at best, so just fold.
