This is definitely not my standard play but from time to time i make something like this to mix my game a little bit. question is is it right in long run?

Your 3b range is really out of wack. I suggest reviewing ranges for 3betting and ask yourself why you are 3betting a certain hand. Just because you want to 'mix it up' doesn't meant you should 3b a hand that plays so poorly post such as 55. I'd much rather something like 46s because at least we can barrel a lot post flop.

As for flop, yeah not much to say really. No other play.

dont think its bad to 3-bet 55 there, I actually prefer it to calling, since of the bad postflop playability that birday mentionend and I dont like to call vs a single reg just for setmining value. So with 3-betting at least we get some fold equity.

So for me its 3-bet or fold pre but woud be nice to have some "fold to threebet" stat from the villain to have some idea of our fold equity here.

post flop I would bet slightly bigger OTF but not by much and your shove is fine imo, especially since the villain is very unlikely to bluff (so no need to keep his bluffing range in) given the flop bet and call and the fact thats its a 3-way pot.

        Hey ruder

I'm gonna go with what birdayy said actually. First of all, look at villain's stats 14/10. I don't think we should be 3betting light here at all. Also we have someone in the BB who has a big gap in their VPIP/PFR. If we don't have fold equity and we are not 3betting for value then it's best to call to set mine and let the BB join in. Also, set mining works best against a tight range because when we do hit a set we are likely to get paid by overpairs.

@almightybald, "3bet or fold" might work better when we are in the blinds vs someone who is opening a wide range and has >67% fold to 3bet stat
