  • 2NL FR, QKs, LP... river bet?

Hi guys of the beginners hand discussion, Easy one for most of you, not a hand that needs analysis but am looking for everyone's views.umbup: What should I have done next? Cheers, Apex

I would check it down without reads. I'm not sure we should still be in the hand tbh.

Villain has raised pre, and raised both the flop and turn big. I think he is either giving up on a busted draw (AcKc/AcJc we win and he won't call a bet), or he's check/calling AQ+ to let us bluff busted draws. If I ask myself would he play the next worse hand this way, which is QJ, I think without reads that's a stretch as it would be a big overplay of the hand on all streets.

The pot is already bigger than our hand strength is really worth, and I can't see getting value from too many worse hands, so check and show it down imo.

Hi Dave, I checked it down because I was scared... which basically meant as you said, I shouldn't still be in the hand (monster pots for monster hands!). Table was very very loose. A7 busted flush Yes it makes sense... there is no benefit in raising, if he's busted flush he's folding... if not I'm losing more money. Cheers, Apex
