usualy i 3bet AJs. I dont know why I coled maybee misklick. Vilain unknown. Fold or Call on the river ?

    Hi,

Personally I think this hand plays better in position for a cold call than a 3B vs. an unknown UTG+1 open, if 3-betting AJs is your default play I would invest in a stat tracker (if you don't already use one) and see if you're making money in these spots. Seems like we will often be folding out his lighter opens and isolating ourselves vs. hands that dominate us.

As played I am certainly calling down with this hand strength. He can have worse aces he thinks are good, busted draws, and bluffs hoping we have a busted draw... so I'm going to pay off AQ+ feeling confident that I'm making a profit on this call in the long run.

I'm flatting pre too. I'd 3-bet weaker suited aces like A5s if I don't think I can make a profit by calling with them, or I think villain will fold fairly often.

As played, I call down, expecting to be pipped by AQ+ fairly often (it happened to me 3 times in 10 hands yesterday), but I believe it's a profitable call in the long run, especially if villain is capable of tripling with busted draws. If you had AT instead, it's more of a fold.
