  • NL5 Zoom 6max, min raised on flop w/overpair, what's Villains range?

I have 19 hands on villain, 26/11 ag 0.7. He's 2 tabling zoom. Looking deeper into his stats he was calling a few times from big blind which is why there's a big gap in vpip and pfr. What kind of range do we think villain is c/raising this flop with? j10/jj/1010/55/qq/slowplayed AA....is aj a possibility?Maybe kq/k10? Actually I doubt villain would be raising a non made hand here given the strength we have shown. He hadn't raised a cbet in the small sample I have but had folded to a cbet 2/2 instances. Is it wrong to assume, even with the tiny sample I have, that this is extreme strength and I should be folding? Against the range I have listed above I am in terrible shape.

    Hi Paddy,

I think I would call the raise here, but probably not call a big turn barrel if he fired again. It's possible he's raising with a straight draw sometimes hoping for a free turn card, or AJ/AT hoping you have AK, but will slow down when you don't fold. When the turn goes c/c I think you're good, and we can catch help on the turn too. When it bricks, and he makes a big turn bet, probably giving him the benefit of the doubt and letting it go. Calling a small turn bet with the same philosophy moving into the river.

      Ty Dave.

Yeah I did call, and folded the turn on a brick. Villain fired for 3/4 pot.
