  • 10NL ZOOM, AJs TPHK river decision

OTF: my plan was to X/JAM this flop OTR: my plan was to bet/fold. I'm in a pretty good/bad spot OTR IMO. I think there's value from worse Ax? MP(3): 50/50/0.0 CO(7): 29/0/2.0 BTN(1): 100/0/0.0

Yeah it's a close spot. He has a super wide range calling in that spot pre flop, there are some Ax suited in villains range. Don't know if villain can call on that river with worse hands often enough considering the board texture, I would personally c/fold. We block some heart draws which might bluff the river so if villain does bet I would assume its almost always for value.

      Hi dirt,

I think we do better check/calling the river here than bet/folding.

It's possible he has some worse aces, but let's think about that parlay for a second: It would require him to cold call a 3b preflop with AT-, then also choose not to bet it on the flop when the field checks to him. This is a parlay that, while not impossible, seems unlikely. There are draws abounding however, and they all missed except back door clubs. And, of course, the heart draw that contains the Kh.

I'm torn between check/calling and check/folding tbh, not sure how many draws he might hold here and if he would bluff them in this situation. If he bets largish it's probably just a fold.
