  • 2NL$ 6-max 5d7d What do you do on the flop

Villain_3 VPIP 22 PF 15 AF 7 (5,inf,-) 80 hands I decide to play this gapper as I am in position and by calling I have a SPR of about 14 giving me some leverage on the opponent The flop comes down giving me a nice OESD and flush draw Villain bets, I re-raise and villain 3-bets Is this a clear shove ?

Preflop, I think folding or 3betting is much better than calling. I would call with higher SCs 98s+.
This is the best flop we could actually hope for. Against QQ+, 66, 44, AdKd we are a slight underdog with 47% equity. Can't go wrong with raising and plannig to get the money in here. So yes, it's a clear shove for me (it's also a +EV call if they shove over our flop raise). We need to be good atleast 44.67% < and we have 47.48% equity against QQ+, 66, 44, AdKd

      thank you
yes I did shove and ended up against top set but spiked my straight on the river
      lucky me

But I was indeed wondering about the correctness of the play. Especially the re-raise on the flop as I reckon to be a small favorite against the range I would put him on. However I noticed you made that range a bit slimmer but even then, it is profitable I see

        no , just no,
no reason to 3bet IP and risk getting 4bet by OOPer and having to fold nice hand...OOPers just never calls 3bets OOP instead they 4bets .... so u did good
