T:diamond, can i change this?

I don't like cbetting the flop.

Given we did cbet the flop I dislike betting the turn too.

Given we did both of these things we obviously have to bet the river on this runout.

I'd prefer x/calling twice or if the flop checks back, bet the turn for value and decide what to do depending on the river card.

somtimes i take this line hear birdayy or iv started too, but i think being UTG the ranges are a bit stronger and i rather just get a fold on flop as iv easily got QA+ here?

        Hi taxed,

The problem here is that all those flop folds you get are from worse hands, except for JJ specifically, and he may not fold that to a single bet anyway. When villains are folding all their worse/low equity hands and putting more money in the pot with their better/higher equity hands, that's not going to bode well for us.

I think vs. this villain in these positions I'd prefer to have TT in my flop check/call range, if it checks through we can consider betting the turn and getting called by worse pairs that suspect we have AK, or check/calling turn again and betting river if it checks through. Our hand strength (pre-straight) is likely only good for 1 street of value here and the flop seems like the least likely one to get from worse if we bet.

As played, I don't like the turn bet at all, for the reasons above. What worse hands are calling this flop bet? Probably few/none.
