  • 10NL ZOOM 6-max, 4B bluff gone bad...

Should have just folded to the villains 3bet... but whatever. What do we do when villain CCs a light 4B bluff OOP? Should I just be X folding? I decided to cbet, and then OTT I feel that my only option is to jam... Villain(23 hands): 24/10/0.5

I think the 4bet is pretty big especially for a bluff. I would make it closer to about $1.70.

Cbet OTF is fine since you might sometimes get missed broadways to fold along with speculative PPs villain might sometimes see a 4bet with. However when villain x/c on this flop he has put half of his stack in the middle and probably isnt going anywhere expecially on a turned brick deuce.

I dont think we should be putting more money into this pot. The weakest hand I can realistically see a capable villain taking this line with is something like 99 and after calling that flop bet idk if 99 is going anywhere on a 2 turn card.

Against an unknown, most probably weaker villain I would fold or call AJo here in position. 4-betting as a bluff usually won't work too well against these types as they tend to not be happy to fold without seeing a flop, so 4-betting for value may actually work but for that you don't know how loose/tight his 3-bet ranges could be here.

As played I'd check back the flop and not try to bluff as it's a board that hits all small to medium pairs and you pretty much only target hands like AQ/AK (or KQ which you are ahead against) to fold.

Turn I would definitely give up as I don't think that villain will fold after having invested so much into the pot already.

Why are we 4betting such a good playable hand vs a sb 3b?

Furthermore your 4b is way too big 100bb deep. I would 4b to $1.60-$2.00.
