So I flop a 10 high flush against an early raiser and caller. I think reraising his cbet charges any higher spade draws he might have (Im assuming he has AA-JJ, AK-AQ (one or both spades). Dont think I can put him on trips when he calls the turn bet, but if he did have I cant call when the possibility of a full house comes in right? And if he did raise early with 2 high cards, I would have to believe the way he played it that he had a higher spade than me so my fold was probably correct? Assuming he was calling a flush on the turn to try and get more from me on the river even if pot odds are nearly 3.

The board turned kind of nasty there.

We are beaten by singleton big spades and also any FH. For a UTG raiser something like AsKx, KK would certainly make sense.

As it was a single raised pot he could also have 66/44/33 from that position although the 3 arriving on the river makes that a lot less likely.

I think the fold is probably good.

Thanks for posting the hand in the replayer bhoy!

I actually don't like your turn play here, I'd just check back. What worse hands are you expecting to call? You're only serving to bloat the pot to make it easier for villain to extract value when he has the nuts. I think you can afford to pot control and decide on the river.

The river makes things even worse and I think you should fold.

          HI tfcoulson,

I'd actually raise flop bigger for value against PPs or basically any high card with a spade.
OTT, I think if I bet here I would bet much smaller because we are always folding to a raise and it's hard to get paid off by worse with a big sizing. Arguments can be made to check back turn and fold to a river bet or bet small if the river is checked to us. As played, river fold is mandatory.

            Thanks guys.
I think the "what worse hands are you expecting to call" is something for me to take into account a lot more often and for me to work on.
