  • AKs UTG v a maniac

Hi all Just want to make shore this was the right line. The V had only been at the table for 15 hands with stats 80/70!!! His bet sizing was all over the place. I have seen him get to showdown in large pots with trash like J4o and he has lost his stack 3 times so fare. When he 3bets and leaves $0.04 behind I don’t think I should be folding here so shove to try and isolate witch works as he could have almost any 2 cards. Is my thinking right here? Thanks for all the help

Well played, this type of villain is going to play any two cards that look pretty, especially now he's down to his last $0.50.

The only comment I would make is that if you've got a maniac that never folds preflop, I would alter my preflop play to be tighter and make my raise sizes much larger.

For example in this spot, especially with the poster also in the hand, I'd be tempted to open to something like $0.12 and be willing to get it all in with all the short stacks and play more cautiously if V1, V2 or V5 are nits and play back at you.

Against him even A9o would be plenty.
