Hi, villain is playing 27/21/6 over 337 hands. The turn was a check fold right ? The river we're pretty much bluff catching I guess. Cheers!

    Hi fp!

I think you played this hand fine. You and the villain are deep stacked and your J10s can flop well against the top end of the villain's range giving you a chance to win a big pot. So calling from the bb is worth the risk. On the flop you have tp. I like check-calling and letting the villain c-bet with all of his range. The turn pairs the board, but aside from 88 there arent many 8x hands in the villain's range. It also give you flush outs. If you were ahead on the flop, you should still be ahead and may improve to a very strong hand on the river.

The river isn't that great for you. Spades just made a flush. Moreover, if the villain has an overpair JJ just made a full house and QQ, KK or AA have a better two pair than yours. I wouldn't expect the villain to barrel every street with a missed hand like AK, and we aren't beating any of his value betting hands. So folding seems to be the best choice.

GL and have fun at the tables!
