  • 2nl 6 max zoom - KK facing flop 3 bet

All standard pre could make an argument of the 4x raise UTG but i try and stay consistent. No info on villain i think he has to have a strong(ish) hand to call an EP raise OOP. Right so he leads out the flop he could have a lot of Qx/Jx hands. The reason i raised was to get more money in on the flop planning to stack off on later streets if he just went into check-call mode with top pair. When my opp 3 bets i think im always beat here? QQ, JJ or QJ maybe 44 was the hands i put him on there. I think i probably should be flatting this flop if im not prepared to call a 3 bet but so much easier looking back Ads

    Hi ads,

Without any reads I think folding here is good. Most players bet/3B range will be big hands or draws that they don't mind stacking off with. And there are no big draws, at best only an OESD and we block KT. His made hand stack offs this deep in a single raised pot should be mostly hands beating 1 pair I'd think.

Flatting or raising flop is somewhat read dependent so it's tricky without reads, but I like flatting a bit more on a wetter board. Raising here isn't bad unless the villain will fold hands like Qx to a raise. Being 2NL I'll assume most randoms are not folding top pair on the flop. And I don't mind being 3B on the dry-ish board because my equity is really poor vs. the made hands that generally bet/3b, so it's not a big deal to fold.
