Hi, villain is unkown. Should I bet the turn ? The river is a check call or a check fold ? I decided to fold since he'd only bet better Kx and Ax.And there are not much missed draws. And I think he'd check down shwodown value hands like 3x or something like this. I would'nt expect for him to turn these hands into a bluff. What you think of my thought process ? Cheers!

    Hi fp!

This hand was tricky! I edited my original post after discussing it with the other hand analyzers. (We shouldn't call the river bet as I originally suggested.) The turn makes this a tough spot for us and there is no clear cut line. Check-folding the turn and river just as you did looks to be the best choice though.

If we bet the turn, it is unclear if we are betting for value or as a bluff. It will often take down the pot. Moreover, it clarifies the situation for us. But does open you up to a raise that you would have to fold to. Betting might get some Kx hands and even some Ax hands that are beating you to fold. The drawback is that there are only a few hands that you are beating that might call.

Checking shows weakness which might encourage the villain to (semi)bluff bet with a wide range of hands, especially if he thinks you are afraid of the A and/or the flush possibility. But given the texture of the board and our hand strength, check-folding the turn and river as you did is a good line in this spot. We have some showdown strenth. Hopefully we can get there without investing more in the pot.
