  • 2NL 6-max CG KQo on SB

Hi guys, just played this hand today and I was pretty unsure about few things, so I am asking you for help. About the villain...recreational player, little bit loose. No other stats about him. Firstly, I wanted to ask you, what range do you think the villain has? I was thinking something like TT+ ... Secondly, I am not sure about my play on this position. Me on SB, villain UTG. What do you think about my play with that KQo ? Yeah, I won that hand, but I think my equity was a bit low and a friend of mine thinks I played it wrong with KQo on SB (especially that 3bet). So what do you guys think? Thank you! umbup:

    Hey Marcoso,

I think the 3-bet pre can be a too thin against a 4x UTG open. If you had reads on the guy that he opens that big disregarding position with a wide range it can be ok, but stacks are so short I prefer calling or folding (depending on how wide of a range you think villain has). Once you get it in you're probably not gonna be a favorite most of the time and by calling you keep villain's preflop range wider.
