  • 25NL 6Max Zoom - AQ on A high flop facing lots of action

Villain: 23/14 3Bet: 29 (22 Hands) He had previously 3Bet and called a 4Bet with KTo I don't think I played this hand very well. However I didn't really fancy 3Betting because I just preferred to see a flop in position. However when the flop came I had no idea what to do in the face of all this action. In the end I raise/folded but in hindsight I feel this is quite an expensive info bet. Then again I think our hand is quite strong to just fold. I'm still very confused as to the right course of action here.

    Hi spand,

I think we should just be calling the flop. This looks strong but also keeps our range wider... we could do it with 9x, an ace, a draw. Not sure why you're providing 3b stats since there's no 3b here, but the fact that he 3b/called a 4b with KTo says to me that he's got some wild in him, so probably not folding as played. If he's got a 9 so be it, seems like the type that might do this with KsQs or worse aces.
