Hi, both villains are unknown. Should I just check raise the flop ? Since I've just called the c-bet, what to to when the short stack decides to 3B? I don't think calling is optimal since he'd have just a little bit more of a pot-sized bet left. And I wasn't eager to fold here, so I shoved. Cheers!

I think check-raising the flop is the best play - you will likely take the pot down here and then and if anyone else comes along, you know you might be up against a monster.

      Hi fp,

I don't mind check-raising the c-bet, but as played I don't think we should be shoving over the 3b. This guy is check-raising 2 players in a 3 way pot, which show's a lot of strength. We know he's not semi-bluffing the nut flush draw because we have it. I think we have to be legitimately concerned about a set the way this hand has played, and specifically 99 since he was the preflop raiser. Overpairs would either c-bet or check/call mostly. So if we come back over the top and shove we are just getting it in bad a large % of the time as our overcards aren't likely to be worth anything.

What about calling? It's .90c to see the turn card. There is 3.35 in the middle and he's got 4.87 more behind to win, which if we're right about his strength, we can realistically expect to win it when we get there on the turn. So our implied odds to take the turn card off are 9-1. On a 5-1 shot to make the nuts (not counting the 6c). So folding is clearly incorrect.

I think calling is optimal. If we miss the turn and he shoves, we'll have to fold. It's not the end of the world, another .90c trying to win 8.22 on a 5-1 shot is a bet we can live with.

If we call the raise on the flop and we hit our flush, would you donk the turn? Im finding it hard to get value when i take a check call line with flush draws when i hit because players never bet the flush. I do check raise here but im also check calling sometimes like i would here once hero called but then they check behind and you get a pot sized bet on the river and thats it.
