No read on villains, no HUD. What would you have done differently? I think my bet at the turn is too large, and I should have checked at the river, and fold if raised. Any opinion welcome.

    Hi tanguy,
I should have checked at the river, and fold if raised.
Without reads this seems a tad cautious. Focus on ranging him... what holdings do you think he plays this way that you should check/fold your hand to on the river? 88 and 44 are about the only ones that come to mind. I generally expect flushes to raise us earlier in the hand. The turn bet is a bit heavy handed, yes... his flop calling range is largely going to be the monsters (88/44), flush draws, and worse 1 pair hands like A8, 55, TT. This turn card is scary to all the non flushes/non boats, and in particular to the pairs lower than the 9. So we want to make a bet that is callable for those super low equity hands, while also denies a correct price to draw at a single big spade. .55-.60c seems like plenty here imo. Since he's just called all they way, I prefer to value bet the river. In micros I'd expect the guy to make calling mistakes more than any other kind, so bet for value against hands like A8 that just can't find a fold. If he raises the river, we can pretty comfortably fold imo. BTW, next hand vs. this villain you can no longer say he's readless... hope you made a note on this hand umbup:, turned the flush and just called down instead of raising, he's probably loose-passive, or weak-passive.
