  • Cap heads up preflop.

Hi. Game is heads up 20 bb cap no limit holdem. My opponent is a perfect player. As i understand all 3 bets are shoves here? I would like to know what hands to shove here if he(minraises) opens to 2 bb, against a perfect player that is. Effective stacks are always 20 bb. And what hands should i call 3 bet shove with?

Well first off, if your opponent is a "perfect" player, you shouldn't be playing him heads up! But no player is even near perfect, especially at lower stakes.

In 20BB cap there is definitely room to non all in 3 bet with more reads, generally if the opponent can be induced into 4bet shoving wide or he flats 3bets and plays badly postflop.

On what hands to 3bs with and call 3bs, that really varies villain to villain, if you are playing someone who minraises 100% of the time it is +ev to 3 bet shove any two cards, but obviously you would want to have a flatting range too.

So the best advice I think is to not follow any set "charts" on what to 3bs or call, rather adjust it for each opponent.

    Hope that helps!
