I'll be posting a blog tomorrow about relative hand strength that will help you with this question, but the short answer is:
I will usually fold hands that are towards the bottom of my range, relative to the board and villain's likely range, and only continue with hands that are of medium strength (including draws with 8+ outs) or better. Occasionally, I'll continue with the bottom of my range, as part of a plan to bluff, possibly with a float.
Generally speaking though, I want to have a hand that has decent equity against villain's likely hands. If I called pre-flop, then it's usually because I have a speculative hand like a pair or a suited connector, so my flop decision is usually quite easy. I've usually flopped a set or a decent draw, or I'm out of there.
