Hi guys, I am wondering if I was right to bet the river in this hand. It looked like villain was drawing considering he called my raise on the flop, but considering I had 65c left I thought I would see if he might have missed something. Is this a bad beat. Since on the turn I was an 82% favourite against his flush draw, so technically he will not make money in the long especially when he called my raise on the flop. Should I have shoved on turn, given our remaining stacks? Cheers, Pullin

    Wrong hand I think.

The hand posted looks like some play money limit randomness.

Try and think about setting up stacks to get the money in when you want. If you want to shove turn then you should be sizing your flop raise to around $0.60.

That puts ~$1.10 in V7s stack with around $1.30 in the pot. Makes it a lot nicer size to shove..

        Hi pullin,

I agree with birdayy that the problem is with the weird stack size which will be hard to get stack in the middle by the turn, but I don't think that should be too necessary. We can go for 3 streets of value with our hand and our hand is unlikely to get outdrawn too often due to the dryness of the board. Their are only diamond draws to consider and 65 for an OESD or something like A5/A2 for a gutshot; the rest of the hands we dominate nicely.

I think we can take an alternative line here by flatting the flop, and x/shoving the turn when the pot gets bigger if V5 barrels the turn and V7 calls.

As played, I think we could go for a slightly larger raise OTF and Turn too. But never x/f the river after we invest over 70% of our stack though.

          Cheers guys.

That sounds like an awesome line geovarta.

          Cheers,
