Hi guys could you please let me know if my shove was correct. I'm tilting so I think I will stop playing for a while. I believe I did this correct. Zoom poker so no reads playing abc. I put the guy on KK+, AK to be safe. I think aganist that range when I make a set I am favourite. I also think that the guy would shove with AA maybe AK. So I thought I have to call this shove. It's amazing how tilt can affect you. I hope you guys agree that this type of play will make me money in the long. I'm getting rather unlucky at the moment in poker. Looking back at it, the guy did check raise. Should I have thought a set, or do you think that i am letting the results get to me? Are you guys thinking...set? Cheers, Pullin

    Hi Pullin,

I think with a set here with an SPR less than 4 we basically have to go with our hand. Although this seems to be a cooler, I think we could have avoided this preflop by folding to his 3bet when we don't even close the action.
Also when I am set mining I like to use a 15x rule when IP and 20x OOP so basically the idea is if I can make 15x the bet we have to call post flop then set mining becomes profitable. Here, 15 x 0.2 = 3$ (we don't have that money infront of us). So fold preflop, imo.

Fold pre as played like Geo says you have to stack off but if i had any reads like this guy don't get all in with draws or he is passive and can only have 2 pair plus im folding seen as you have bottom set and i doubt he raised k4/k2 pre so i would imagine im beat.
