I had almost no reads on the guy who open shoved, apart from one hand where he had called to showdown with Queen high... How would you proceed with this hand? What would be your thought process? Should I make my 4-bet larger? My thought process was this. He would not be simply calling a 4-bet with pocket KK or JJ or AKs. The only hand I was worrying about here was AKo....but I shall leave the rest to the discussion. I will post what I actually did and why after some analysis. umbup:

    hi danny,

If you think he's clicking back light preflop then definitely 4b larger because he's loose-bad he's probably calling no matter what, and that will invite V4 and V6 to overcall. So 4b larger or don't 4b imo.

As played I think calling his all in is fine, if he's got us then nh, but the fact that he seems bad based on his stack size, bet sizing, and the hand you observed, we should be good often enough here.

Thanks for the reply Dave, I did take into account his stack size and the weak bet sizing. This is how the hand actually played out: I tanked it for a while and thought that he would not be open shoving with trip Kings all that often. If the other player had called before me then I would almost certainly fold, but seeing as it was HU I decided to make the call. I was pretty shocked by the hand he actually turned over though, especially after he flat called my 4-bet.... umbup:
