    Hi, the villain is unkown. Any thoughts on the hand ? should I've c-bet the flop ? Should I've called the river ? Thanks umbup:

    Hey fp_boss Unlike the last three hands of yours I analyzed, I really dislike the way you played this one. As to your questions, yes and yes. You need a good and specific reason not to continuation bet here. We have a hand that has value, often enough value to bet three-streets if the board runs out right. So unless you know that checking back is going to elicit multiple bluffs from your opponent's air hands like broadways that msised, I would start with a bet. Since a lot of 5nl players aren't very bluff happy, I would not automatically assume that checking is going to elicit those bluffs. Now on the river I think your price is simply too good to turn down. Villain could very easily be betting a worse ace or block betting with some other type of hand. Again you need a better reason than simply that the backdoor flush came in to fold to this bet size. Remember you should call more often v small sizes and fold more often v large sizes. Here our opponent has made a small size and could do so with worse AX hands, so I think we should take the pot odds and call . umbup:
