I would of made a smallish bet on the river and folded a massive raise.

          hi hendo,

Wow, I think this is a bad spot for us, having both blinds cold call our 3b and having to go to the flop 4 handed. Reads would help so we know who we're dealing with, but in a vacuum with no reads I'd expect the blinds ranges to be heaving in pocket pairs, so when one of them check-calls our big flop c-bet, I'm not too happy tbh.

Without reads I don't mind checking back the turn, although I think we can make a strong case for putting him all in, and would do it if he were a loose player as they can show up with a lot of 8's and worse 1 pair hands as well as those beating us.

I do like value betting the river, as I think when we check behind on the turn all better hands than ours (like flopped sets that have gone full) will bet, so when he checks again he's either giving up a busted draw like A8s, or he's got showdown value like a 9 or TT.

from what you have said i think my problem here is lack of reads..... what kinda reads would be good in this spot?

The kind of reads that would help would be to know whether the villains are loose (calling big raises with random hands) or tight (probably only set-mining) and whether they slowplay big hands. When a player is loose and passive, they are less likely to bet marginal hands (one pair), but will often call with them.
