Is my flop bet about right for a flush draw?

  • #2
I'd bet the about the same amount whether I have AK, 88, a FD, or QQ. That is to say, I stick with my standard sizing for the board texture, and number of villains. Heads up on a Kxxtt calls for a bet of something like 60% of pot. You could actually bet smaller against this villain, because he's short-stacked. Half pot on every street will get his stack in. Villain's most likely hand for calling is Kx, but you have 12 outs against that. Anything more than 65% of pot would be charging yourself too much to hit your draw.
I think your turn bet is a bit on the large size actually. Villain's always calling with a decent king, but he can get away from 8x on the flushy turn card when you bet so much. 45c will be enough to set up an obvi-shove on the river, given villain's stack size. I'd bet just enough to make him committed to calling 100% of rivers.
