  • 25NL 6-max zoom. 89s in sb - over calls + I'm in a party pot ...

    Hi,

This is basically 1/2 pot or stack bet on a river boat and will I get paid?

Ok it's zoom but I have history on the bb player who raises the utg min open and my over call c/o 89s and the btn too.

History - I don't understand how good this stack looks compared to playing against him (yellow label = not good & passive). But now I have to be respect-ish?

So villain oop c-bet too small fishy. I call and make 2 pair on turn - now a check what no 2nd barrel? I bet and villain calls feeling sick?

    Now I'm confused? But I get a >>great river<<.

So my $11.50 bet or $22 > pot? Against this read I wanted to bet and induce a shove. Next time maybe but if I go all-in here would I ever get a call?

    Wow all night poker.

Hey Forrest On the river your opponent has a hand that is a bluff catcher. You can deduce this by their decision to check-call the turn, they wouldn't do this with a monster, a semi-bluffing hand, or air. So that leaves a showdown hand. This bluff catching range on this board, given his preflop action, looks approximately like this {TT, JT-AJ, QQ-AA}. Given this I wouldn't be making a size that you believe will induce a shove. Instead I would notch my size up a little bit in order to be called by this range. He is playing his range to bluff catch. So let him bluff catch. I would make it probably like 14$. Anymore he might be folding too much to be worth the extra money. umbup:
