Hey wikked Honestly I think you played this hand perfectly. I really like your four bet size. If he doesnt fold a hand like this preflop it is likely good. If we know he would fold to larger, which he will start to at some point, we would rather he call. We have a stronger hand than his calling range after all and we have position too. Postflop I think you had a great plan and recognized your pot committment on the river. Sometimes opponents will just put the money in here with a one pair hand as resignation or making a hopeless bluff. I think we have to call the river give the situation. The way we are commmitted goes both ways, since villain will be committed on the river with his worse hands. Judging from how he played this part of his range we can assume that there are a lot of one pair hands worse than QQ that he will hold in this spot that will feel committed the same way, only in your favour umbup: Cliffs-- dont beat yourself up for this one. In fact, a really good sign!

      Totally agree with Gareth.

Only 1 hand 'should' be beating you in this situation, top set of tens. If that is all you can expect to lose to, you have to get value from everything else.

Calling your 4-bet with a small pocket pair out of position is a big mistake by villain and you will be making money in the long run playing your hand exactly this way. You will win enough every time he misses his set to compensate for when he does. That is not even counting the times he misses and calls you down anyways with a worse pair!
