  • 2nl 6max Zoom top two good enough?

Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner
The villian in this spot has stats of 39/19 and 3bet% of 0. I raise out of the sb then make my top pair on the flop and cbet and get called,i make my top two pair on the turn and continue with a bet for value of almost pot. My opponent then shoves in their stack for almost 100bbs,of course they could have some sets, K10 gets there but i feel like they could also have some better Qx hands with combo flush draws also combined with the fact this is a sbvbb battle which can cause players to get a little funky. My top two is strong but is it strong enough here for 100bbs? Thanks Heaps

    Hi Nashy,

I have no much idea on this one. But i would fold i guess. I think his line is a lot of the time T8 or KT, or a slow played set. hes passive, so i dont see him playing a draw this way.

      Hi Nashy,

I think it's a close spot... the stats you quoted don't help us as they are preflop stats and this is a turn decision, but without reads this looks a lot like a "protect my hand from a dangerous board" bet, and the Jc brought a lot of draw potential. He can't have top pair + flush draw as we hold the Qc, and I think KQ/AQ don't play this way (they reraise pre, raise the flop, or just call down, don't jam the turn here).

I don't think calling or folding are bad, blind v blind is the one spot people tend to lose their minds more often than any other, but without any post flop reads it's a close call. He can certainly have sets or straights, but he might also do this with Q9 or J9 for straight value too, or be losing his mind some % of the time. And no matter what, we are never drawing dead except against an extremely unlikely QQ.
