  • 25NL Zoom TPTK river shove?

Villain was 53/38 over 9 hands. No 3bet or postflop stats. If we bet 3 streets, will we usually get shown better like a set or 2 pairs like KQo? Is checking this board on river better?

Hey Awesome While there are certainly a lot of players that I think we could consider a check back on this particular river against I don't think this is that player. We don't know if his current HUD stats are going to be what his final stats look like, but it is the information we have to draw from, so we should use it. I think a player like this is really indicating to us that he is loose and therefore on the river can have a lot of hands that could potentially call a 13$ bet or an all-in even, hands not just like AQ that some tighter player might have, but QJ, Q9, K9, KJ hands as well. Because they are more likely to be able to hold these top and second pair bluff catchers because of how many hands they are playing I think we would be making a mistake if we passed up the opportunity to value shove here and should go for it. Remember that we only need to be a favourite versus this player's calling range to value shove, we don't have to win every time. So if this was one of the times where we end up value cutting ourselves don't worry too much about it. umbup:

Thanks Was afraid cos of the board texture, getting coordinated by the river. But I also think when he checked 3 streets, he shouldn't be holding a set or 2 pairs. He flipped over QJo. Will try my best to deduce when to bet 3 streets in the future.

Saw you 8-tabling Zoom the other day. Monstrous!!!
