      In a vacuum flat calling preflop here is fine, it's what I would usually do as a default out of position vs. an unknown opening from UTG+1.

      Your flop line is interesting, you're basically repping an ace and it's a line that will get some better hands to fold (JJ-KK specifically). Once he re-raises you though it's time to fold immediately. Your line looks strong on a dry ace high flop and he isn't deterred... it's very likely he has at least a big ace here and you are drawing to a 2 outter. Which would be ok if the money were much deeper, but not here, just pass.

        Thanks for the feedback. I think I tend to call too many raises with pocket pairs and mid pairs in situations like that.
