  • When to rebuy and/or leave ?

Hi guys,I'm playing 2NL and I have two questions: - When should I re-buy if I get short stack ? something like around 50BB ? -Should I quit the table after I reach $3 or $4 ? Cuz I've already made miskates which cost me the original buy-in plus the profit of the session. Thanks umbup:

I always top off at before I drop to 50bb.

As for getting up, it depends on if I believe I have an edge over the table. If you do why leave?

When I first started playing cash games I never topped up my stack. That way I could always keep track of my profit/loss for the session.

However, after getting some experience( and a suggestion from TheLangolier) I now auto top up at 80% of my starting stack, and I always buy in for the maximum. This maximizes my profits when I finally stack someone.

I like to buy in for around 110 BBs. I always top up if I go under 100BBs. I think you should have atleast 80BBs or you wont get much profit from monster hands!

I always auto-top-up to 100bb now and is much better than falling down because you want to get max value when you get a big hand.

I usually play zoom tables and leave when I'm at 150bb and rejoin. On normal tables I'll get to 200bb before leaving.

Also I'll leave after I lose a stack at a normal table because quite often I see myself having marked someone as a fish and trying to play too many pots against them or marginal spots, especially if i got stack action with them and they sucked out on me. So I'd rather just open a new table to save me spewing off my stack against a fish. If you have more self control than me then I'd happily stay at a table if you think you are better than the other players there.
