Title says it all: What would you do here?

    Hi Craig

This is where reads on the player come in quite handy. How many tables is he playing? Has he done anything crazy in the past?

People say Zoom is a readless game; it isn't. If you make reads when everyone else isn't, your going to have a huge advantage.

A nervous opponent might do this for value and protection with KQ, AK, AdKx specially, all of which we beat.

Of course, he could also do it with a hand like a 2, or a flush. Against these hands we have 2 or 4 outs.

I think it makes sense, however we assign his range, to either go all-in now, or fold now. We don't want another card coming off that could lead to us losing value on the river, or being drawn out on by a hand that would call off having the worst of it.

Honestly I would start with a fold here. As nice as it would be to have KQ in trouble, there are only 9 combinations of KQ, while there is a bevy of possible weird 2X hands he can hold. If anyone can call 2X in the BB v an UTG open it is someone at 2nl.

The fact is that, by making such a large overbet, he is taking a huge risk. He is laying himself poor odds to win the pot. As a consequence we don't have to 'fight back' often here, the opposite, we can be selective with the hands we continue with, and I think this is a good example of one we should toss.
