    Hi,

I think you played this fine, except I would have generally bet more on the turn. I think when he checks the turn to us he's going to have 9x or a smaller pocket pair a lot, so we can get more value from him in this spot. If he was making a move with a flush draw on the flop and got there, we'll hear from him (probably bet/fold the turn with a bigger bet sizing would be my general line here).

I don't mind checking down the river, it seems hard for him to call small pairs and 9x just drew out on us. Also if he happened to make a flush and slowplay the turn he's not folding now either. Even if we knew the opponent was something of a station I think value betting the river is pretty thin on a 9 river card.

Hi and thank you, Dave! The villain did not reraise his premium pair at the first place making me believe I'm ahead. I often have a hard time reading passive opponents.

No worries, sometimes they show up with QQ-AA but much more often they show up with worse hands. It's a nice thing, they give us extra value with worse and don't punish us when we're beat. loose-passive players.
