  • 2nl Zoom - AJo in the SB. C-bet/2barrel spot.

Another c-betting/double barrel hand. Zoom so no reads on SB UTG.
Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner
Preflop is a pretty standard iso on the UTG limper, 5x due to his limp and being OOP. Is this a good size or should i make it smaller to try and get as many worse hands to call? I think even though I'm OOP position to 2 limpers I can credibly rep the K. On the turn I decide to shut down however I think this was a bad check, I think that mid pairs and broadways that didn't hit will likely fold. Also if he has hit the board in someway I now have a draw to hit and possibly my ace. Am I right and should I have barrelled the T? Thanks for any help. Oliver umbup:

    Hey Oliver

This is a classic spot to barrel the turn. When the T comes we pick up a gutshot draw to the nuts, this means that against almost any holding we have gained real equity. The T is also a scare card to pairs 99 and under. This means we have some fold equity with a turn bet.

So when we have both fold equity and real equity we have a recipe for continuing to barrel. We should fold better hands often and then be able to value bet his stronger turn calling range the times we hit our Queen-ball.

Your preflop isolation size is fine, not to worry.
