  • Bankroll management for CAP games.

Hey all, I've been trying out the CAP games at pokestars and couldn't really find any bankoll guidelines for these games. I've played 3110 hands and won 230$ (at the 25c/50c). My EV adjusted however is 98$ (running 13 buy-ins above EV!!!) As you can see the swings are quite huge. I find the games really soft and rarely get my money in bad. I'm winning 15BB/100 (6/100 when you go by EV adjusted) and i can easily play 16 tables at once. I'd love to play these games but don't want to lose half my roll trying out this new thing. I now have an 840$ bankroll, but am asking my self if this is enough.

When playing CAP 50NL the max you bring at the table is $25, which is the same amount as the 25NL regular table. So with a bankroll of $875, you have enough for the 50NL CAP. Once you've reached $1,050, you'll be able to move up to the 100NL Warning, 3,100 hands is not a lot hands played, you haven't hit a down swing yet. Like you said the swings are very huge. I've played over 26,000 hands at 50NL CAP and my BB/100 is at about 3.18 Good Luck umbup:

okay, so after 9k hands, my EV adjusted is 53$. This is just over 1bb/100 but with a lot of varience (no poblem in my case ). Unfotunately there aren't too many tables (max 16) availible . Fortunately i do get a lot of VPPs (700 in 9k hands) so i think most of my value will come from the rake back.

6,000 hands in one day.....WOW Value from rake back takes a while to achieve unless you're grinding the way you are. Here's my grind: http://www.pokerschoolonline.com/for...777-2012-goals In 200,000 hands I've made about $800 in all kinds of bonuses, but I must say, just in the last 3 months it was $500 Good Luck umbup:

@ trap just to clarify these are not quite like playin' the 25 nl game in that max u can win/lose per is only 20 bigs or $10. And yes they are very high variance type games because of the style they are played ie: most 3bets are for the cap. So when playing those spots its generaly for 20 bigs and as we know, w/o being able to play as much postflop variance is a bit more of a b**ch. I played thes a bit pre BF and was then labeled by the regs i'm sure as I didn't really know at that time the optimal way to play them. But I do look forward to being able to now that my studies have taught me alot sinse then. They are imo a great multi table venue but I think your br should be a bit more than if your playing the same limit deeper ie: 100-250 deep simply because of the all in variance aspect of them. Though to the op your roll IS def. Enough to play these more "swingy" games. I asked for some live training but as of now none have been done to my knowledge. best of luck.

MT, what I meant by they are like 25NL, is the max amount of the buy in is $25 As for videos, there is at least one or two on CAP games CAP games are not for the faint of hearts, variance is very high. You need good knowledge, a good BR and good nerves as you will see lots of all in's umbup:

After 15705 hands (yes, i played 12k hands today) my EV is 8,24$. I paid 217$ of rake and got just in time to make gold star. So after 15k hands i decided i am only gonna play these games when i need VPPs at the end of te month because i dont want to have a 200$ downswing. I Think I'm gonna start blogging aswell

Ya i've watched thos vids of course. would be great if he made a couple more...What I meant was live training vids where spots are acutually discussed and/ or questions answered by the trainers, so a vid would be much more indepth. And/but thanks for the links.
