  • Forced to fold...

I have been playing against the guy for a while and noticed he calls anything and loves to limp from anywhere too.. I was forced to fold and I currently have no pair and only a draw to the nuts though we are on the turn so my % of hitting it is low... right? Thanks

    Hi etipac,

I think you played this one fine. The preflop raise sizing is bigger than I like personally, but other than that no problems. I like the c-bet, def. am calling the check-raise, and never calling this huge turn overbet. The only thing a player will generally do this with that's not a made hand is the nut draw, but of course he can't have the nut draw since we do. This is a weak player protection bet most likely, he doesn't want or understand extracting value from a draw, he's just terrified of the 4th spade coming. So he priced you out. It's all good, he will do the same thing when you actually have the nuts, and he will constantly lose value against you when he's ahead (his value lost is yours gained).
