    Hi pokerspants,

Preflop I prefer to call in position, making a 3b with AQo here will tend to fold out a lot of worse hands and get action from a range that we don't play well against (With no reads as you've given). I think it's more profitable in the long run to keep the pot small pre, and use our positional advantage post flop while keeping both their ranges as wide as possible. AQ plays well enough in position vs. a wide range.

On the flop I think this is a fold. We don't really have the odds to call as the villain will often be doing this with really strong hands like flushes or sets. Our equity is not good enough vs. a range like that to make calling profitable, and we don't really want to be calling off our entire stack on a draw with poor equity that may not even be live. Our best chance is that he's got the Ad with a worse kicker and we're actually a favorite with AQ high, but our equity is not there vs. a set, it's not there vs. a made flush, it's drawing dead to the nut or 2nd nut flush... over all a call is not terrible at this point since we bloated the pot so much already, but it's still a bit -ev imo vs. what I perceive to be a strong range.
