    Hi pokerspants,

I would prefer leading the turn here vs. an unknown as I think we often won't get credit for having it on a board like this, and we'll get called by hands that may check back and take a free card if we don't bet, like AcKd or JsJd. We have those hands in terrible shape, but they will call a turn bet so betting is better. Other hands that fall into this category are stuff like TcTs, but if we bet that may call at least once suspecting we've picked up a draw but aren't there yet. If it goes check/check we may get a river call sometimes from TT depending on the card, but not always.

As played I think we can only call. Check-raise is way too strong, we will tend to fold out the worse hands and only get action from the top of his range which is still beating us, the sole exception being KQ. I really don't want to put myself in a spot where I check-raise and he 3b's putting me all in, because now I'm faced with either folding a hand that has decent equity, or stacking off basically on a draw with 1 card to come.

That's readless... if we had reads the villain is a big fish then I don't mind check-raise/get it in. We're still stacking off on a draw vs. KK and better, but a big fish will be stacking off worse despite a check-raise from us... stuff like JdJ or TdT, KQ, QJ, especially if the kicker is a diamond. There's too many good scenarios against a big fish not not c/r, get it in imo.
