Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner
Hi guys, Just a question about my calculations. On the turn, my gut feeling is that I'm beat, however I look at the pot odds and feel I'm priced in so I call, obviously implied odds are also a convincing argument to stay in the hand. After careful consideration, I decide that the odds I'm being offered are just too good to pass up. Is my thinking going along the right lines or is there more to consider than that? As usual, all advice, analysis, calculations etc would be greatly welcomed and appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Lop,

Thanks for posting. I think you can definitely call this turn bet, you're getting 4-1 in immediate odds plus have some implied odds as you noted. once in a while you'll run into a better hand when you improve, but you will also sometimes catch a K or J and that will be good as well. So I think the call is fine.

Beyond that, this is a spot I would often double barrel against opponents that will call once with light values but give up to a 2nd barrel. Having reads would help. You took the initiative in this hand, and the turn card is unlikely to help him, so I don't see a compelling reason to give up the lead. (Versus a calling station I would check the turn, since they won't fold hands like 88 or T9, but most non-calling stations will release these so we can barrel again as a semi-bluff with our draw).
