  • Fold or not to fold?? All seem like the right Decision...

45Minute into the tourney, this player play like maniac from the start.... Raising evert preflop, continues Cbet with whatever junk he have.... I think i play it right preflop, but on the flop... i dont think i can fold. any advice?? Or maybe i should really fold?

versus far TIGHTER opponents than you describe here, your pre flop actions with a hand like QQ are perfectly ok. QQ is strong enough to 3Bet, and the villain flats that, so you do not face any sort of 4bet decision.

Assuming he is as wild as you say (raising and c betting big "every flop"), then yes, you had every reason to call his all in bet with 3 spades on the flop. When you hold top set, you have a decent chance to suck out if you ARE behind, and the type you describe may well jam ANY hand on a board like this as a bluff.

Even if he were not a true maniac as you describe, but just a little bit loose, there is no reason to "fear" the 38% chance of losing to a suck out against the more likely holdings; a single spade.

so this was jsut bad luck for you really, but it happens.

that was really bad luck. Against a tight opp, I'd have shoved first on the flop. Against a maniac, I like the way you played it.

You both played this hand fine. Pseudo not 4-betting pre maybe shows that he's paying attention. His flop shove is pretty standard as you're quite unlikely to have his this particular board. Although, honestly if he's raising as wide as you say I might just call in position preflop, planning on calling him down. With top set on this flop you can't fold. You're ahead of his range and even if he has the flush --even the nuts-- you're never drawing dead. At worst you still have any board pairing as outs. Also, any or smaller set is probably jamming on you. Pair+flush draws too most likely.
