    not too awful much you can do there. If it were me, since people will stay with any 2 broadway cards, I'd have check/raised the flop instead of the turn... trying to get them to drop. A set will be getting their stack in all day long with this... so not anything you can do.

      I would probably check-raise the flop, or check/call-bet, I think those are much better value lines in this case... I wouldn't check/call-check the turn as you don't really want TT, KK, KQ, etc taking a free card or AK/AT checking back for pot control. As played I'm willing to stack it off on the blank river for sure.

        Check-raise the flop intending to get it in ASAP unless button is too nitty to 3-bet the flop with less than a set. Of course that sort of nit probably doesn't raise 88 (the only had you fear on the flop) preflop, so yeah, check/raise and lead the turn to prevent him from checking it back with his pair+gutshot hands.
