that early in a PSO, you don't want to bust... since the negative league results won't be worth the chips you'll gain.
If the opp was playing loose, then I can maybe see pushing back, instead of calling or folding (since getting near the end of the month, if you're near a pay jump for league points I wouldn't risk it).
If the opp had a tight table image, you really need to be folding it. If was ace and broadway card or suited, I could possibly see calling... but I'd be mucking to avoid losing a bunch of league points.

Sorry that I didn't post my analysis, a tournament started while I was posting this so I forgot about it for a while. This was not a PSO this was a sit n go.
I was playing a 45 man sit n go with 7 players being payed. This player was a little bit loose and the button is a common place to steal, so I decided to resteal with A9o also considering the fact that I'm under 12bb. Is this a proper standard resteal play or should I wait to shove in first?

In a cash tourney with a loose opp... then it's not a horrible play. I'd have rather have had a str8 draw with it, instead of A9... but sooner or later you're going to be in a race and if you think you're ahead or at worst case, a race, it's better to push back like you did.
