So everyone folds I decide to double the BB, don't want the BB to fold, wanna make a a little extra money, but then all of a sudden he shoves. If I was to raise 3bb and he shoved I'd have to call, right? is it okay to call in this instant? your most likely at a coin flip.

you are far from pot committed this early... hard to get away from that hand though, only 3 hands have you crushed... personally too early for me to shove back without holding KK or AA, so easy fold for me

I agree with Roomik. It's too early to be calling it and when I fold it, I still have plenty of BB's left to see a flop (with no antes makes it an even longer time to find a hand).

This one's a prime example of why everyone hates JJ. If you call, regardless of the opponents cards, you're probably in trouble.

Later in a tourney, if I'm short on chips, I'd call, but this early, you really need to fold it and find a better situation to get your chips into.

But if you fold you're pretty close to turning JJ into a bluff. And your raises will have no respect.

He can be doing this with 77-TT too. Maybe even some smaller pairs. I think you're significantly better than a flip against his range. I think 77+, AJ+, ATs+ is a pretty reasonable range to put him on, and we're about 56% against that range.

That is, unless you have reads that he's shoving wider/tighter.

I prefer a call. No need to pass up a small edge like this this early. Remember, you're only flipping against AK, AQ, KQ. It's not like you have 88 where you're flipping against a ton of hands.

If he's not pushing AJo, ATs, 77 and 88 here (ie. hands you dominate), then I would suggest folding.
