  • would you call this?

first, a little background..... seat 3 will push any A or any suited cards, especially any A. Seat 5 will push any A or any pkt pair, regardless of position or how high their pair is.
Only result that would matter in the tourney is a top 5 (top 5 get final seats for WSOP ME seat... and I'm actually already in it).

I could have used the replayer for this, but don't want to let anyone see what happened in the end (will post the rest after I get your input).

A couple things...I think I played this game myself last night and found it loaded w/ maniacal play.

You stated that these 2 will push w/ any Ace, etc. ...so you're guessing that they aren't even this good since they just called to begin with?
I know sometimes these types of players will also limp with a monster and after a raise will shove. But regardless, I personally am a bit more loose than most in a saty like this...so 15 blinds would be a shove for me on the button with these two players limping. I tend to shove in good situations with as much as 20 blinds sometimes if it's a saty. Particularly if I'm just there to keep others out of the final event. Just my .02.

If either of these guys is limp/shoving a monster, then you're not doing well. If one is shoving a pair, and the other is shoving an ace, then you're also not doing well. But if they're both capable of shoving weak aces, then I think it's a pretty easy call, especially given that you've invested 20% of your stack in the pot.

15 BBs, I'm shoving AK into a couple limpers.

If they're shoving any ace they're probably shoving any two broadway, right? I gave one guy a range of about 50% and the other about 25%. You're 40% against their ranges...

Question is, how close is the bubble? If this is the final table I think you can fold here, even given reads that you're ahead. Especially with two short stack sitters.

With your stack you really need to be thinking shove or fold. You don't want to waste chips raise-folding. You need those chips to shove for fold equity. If you're planning on calling an all-in, you might as well just push all in yourself, especially on such shallow stacks. At least you have fold equity. If you fold here you might as well be bluffing, and if you call here you have to win a 3-way. Tough spot. That's why you should just push pre.

good point Ori. I agree, after looking back at it that I probably should have just shoved first.

These tournies are total shovefests, worse than the astronomer ones... but with a WSOP ME seat as the prize, gotta take a shot at it (especially since we can't play for $$ on here). It's my 2nd straight year being in the final and last year, got KO'd by the person that won the seat. Hopefully I can do better this time, as the other reason I'm still playing until the final is to get some notes on players at my tables that I can use in the final.

I hadn't seen either of them get 2 broadway cards but like you, I'd assume they'd shove that too (noted a few others that shoved them).

I had probably 2 hrs left to get to FT and needed alot more chips to get there, about 15-25k based on my prior games, depending on if there was a big stack or even stacks later on. I tried to run one of them being really tight due to the shovefest and shortstacked basically the whole tourney, got to top 25, but really didn't get much for cards either... and I'm not playing OSM with ATC to get chips.
            ---------------------------
The board came with the lowball express that obviously with AK, didn't help at all, and both opps had under pairs that missed the board too.

+1 ori, this is a shove pre... Don't understand why we're making a pot sweetener raise over 2 limpers on a 15 bb stack.

As played super easy call imo.
