  • Set - Full House - Lost

It was early in the tournament. Could I play it better?

I hate players like this who keep calling every barrel you fire, when they should be long gone out of the hand because it is so hard to gauge exactly where you are at or even what range of hands they have.

I was told it was better to shove in this scenario but if you shove flop or turn and he still calls and hits on the river you feel like a right pillock but apparently that is the best strategy. Thing is most of the time they do not hit and you extract lots of value with your bets

What tournament was it just out of interest?

    TC

Oh two other points; too early to get involved, but if you do and you hit your set then you really got to fire big. If anyone is drawing make them pay for the privilege and extract as much as you can.

And finally the villain had the grand total of four outs to beat your hand after the turn and he just got lucky.

Preflop: Is fine, good spot to set mine.

Flop: You bet to weak 270-330 is a good amount. With so many people in the pot you want to bet strong, dont slowplay a hand like this.It looks like you cant get in trouble and thats usually what happens when ever I have slowplayed a hand

Turn:Again your bet is to weak. These guys have shown that they are calling stations and you have to push them out now or face a potential suckout.Shove would be the play for me here.
Usually the rule of thumb is 1/3rd of your stack is needed in the pot to shove. But I have no problem taking it down here.

River: Sucks for you and check/call would be the line to take if villian bets.

Moral of this hand is to bet stronger.
