  • Aggressive Play on Bt.. Correct Line..?

I'm questioning as to whether or not I was too aggressive here.. This is the second hand of the tournament and I have no viable reads or past notes on either of these players.. Clearly position is king, but I would like opinions vis-a-vis abusing the privelege a bit.. I feel as though I'm becoming a bit too timid in my play again.. But w/out any useable data on my opponents so early in a tourney this may be the incorrect line..?

Also, is flatting pre being too timid comsidering the facts..?

I'll post the results at a later time if you'd like to return and see if your assessment is correct..

Thanks in advance for any help,
    Clubbed

with 6 players seeing that flop- top top aint lookin so good to me- could be a set out there- a flush draw- surely overs to your 10-or even a made overpair to the board-- while u may be ahead right then- the chances of takin it down are small- imo- why did you just flat call from the button?- you get no info from the others- if i gonna play A 10 in position- i gonna 3 bet--big- so - as played i think you have to fold to the 480- but seeing as it is only the 2nd hand of tourney- im probably folding pre- would have to risk too much of my stack to get folds from 4 players and the blinds still to act- with a marginal hand-- jmo--- gl- monk... if u are going to enter a pot- raise- it takes a much stronger hand to call with- than it does to raise with--

Ok I will make a stab at an assessment, to see if my mind reading skills are as crap as I think they are:

MP2 is on a flush draw, I would hazard a guess at KQ or KJ of hearts. He calls your raise and the river comes A hearts giving him the nuts flush and you two pair.

If you have both not went all in before the river, he goes all in and you call. Maybe you make an inspired fold but I think you would be too pot commited to do so.

Probably no where near what happened but I gave it a go anyway.

BTW What is a stinky primate Dave?

And I would have folded pre flop, too early I feel even with position and a decent starting hand.
