  • gonna try and have a better attitude this month

1st game of the month, this guy was fairly loose so with this pre-flop bet i put him on maybe AK, AQ so i call, after the flop u can see why i pushed and the end result, so i guess my question is should i have bet more pre-flop or was this a good move on my part with an ugly outcome........................................... ......................................PokerStars Game #58479742334: Tournament #368288524, Freeroll Hold'em No Limit - Level VI (100/200) - 2011/03/01 10:50:31 ET

.................................................. .................................................. .......... I want to keep a better attitude about this game and i need help in reading players and hand situations, iv'e read and reread the articles and the courses over and over again, because it's obvious that the problem lies in my game and never in other players that beat me, so can someone tell me what i should have done differently in this case.

forget this hand nas why on earth he is calling your flop all in i dont know maybe you shouldnt have shoved and put a nice bet out there then call his shove but you did no wrong from what i see

I would have raised preflop with TT to isolate the limper. Also, after limping and having a 12 bb stack raise to 3x (he should have shoved over the two of you limping in, not standard raise, on his stack size), I would shove to pressure out the EP limper and get it HU with the raiser. Post flop the money is too shallow to not get it in here.

I have to disagee with you on this one.

UTG may not have made a strong play but the PSO has shown that people limp/call more often than limp/fold.So no matter the raise you will get them calling within reason.Im talking about 3xbb-5xbb.
With the stacks behind Seat 8,1 and 2 both being short,I would lean towards setmining with Tens.
People shortstaked in the blinds are more likely to shove or be overly aggressive.
You could argue that is why you raise preflop, but the PSO shows that raising doesnt get you the prefered out come as often as you like.

Setmine and see the flop and if one of the blinds shoves and UTG folds, call if off.
If UTG calls I might dump it since Tens dont play to well 3 way.

        Just a difference in opinion.

Letting a blind raise will bring it back to you and you can adjust as needed.
If you raise SB and BB call and then UTG tags along just cause.

If you have a overly aggressive player in the blinds I let them do the betting and when it comes around you can shove or call and worst fold if 3 way.

In these kinds of Trny's is it better to fold and wait for a better time, Both of these guys where calling everything under the sun............................................... .................................................. ..............PokerStars Game #58505605244: Tournament #409010742, $1.00+$0.10 USD Hold'em No Limit - Level IV (25/50) - 2011/03/01 18:37:13 ET
