  • Would you have folded?

Sitting at 159 with 194 left and 162 make ITM when I ship it here. In my mind I was going to get with a blind increase before they came on me again and I felt where I was sitting that I was 60-40 against to turtle home ITM here,so I liked my odds better on playing the hand. But I also had that "feeling" that IT was coming, read my comment before the flop, lol. Sometimes you just know, like me the last 4-5 days. I could'nt sneak a BB past Stevie Wonder on the river if his azz was blindfolded even.

DBPS2974,the limper/caller here is ranked 12K+ BTW. I knew,KNEW,the little doofus was on Ace-rag.And if a non ace spade falls on the river I gladly let the SB take his piece of this.............

if the table was not a slow one, you needed at least a set of blinds to cash.

Unfortunately, that's the exact same scenario that burnt me yesterday in an mtt...... KK vs AQs vs A 4o.... I got rivered too.

Nope, quick table myself and OcDoRdIe were the only ones working the clock and he was gone after this hand quite possibly. My thing that I keep coming back to is this.....if I'm coming up short here it's gonna be because I played poker. If I had folded and still missed ITM I would be mega-steaming right now. Even though it's basically complete BS that an Ace fell on the river here I can still live with this result.

if it was a quick table and you tried to fold your way in..... you'd be in full-fledged Hellmuth style TILT right now.

2 Aces in hand,so 2 that can fall and of course one does....................
Standard MTT: Youa re a donk to ever let yourself get this low in chips before shoving (unless you took a late "beat").

PSO MTT: You have 4 hands until your BB, and 5 to your SB. If you are folding here, you are committing to folding EVERYTHING until the bubble breaks.

It will cost you 1800 + 625 as a MINIMUM to get back to your button, thus leaving you just 755 in chips before your button ante. That amount gives you only 7 more hands at the CURRENT blind level, and 6 hands at the higher blind level.

It is a VERY "iffy" proposition whether you will be able to fold ITM from this spot, with 32 left, but it IS "do-able" if you have your full clock.

If the blinds increase BEFORE you are through them, you will be posting yourself down to the felt by your SB anyway...

Since you are already in plus points no matter your start event score, I think you are all but FORCED to go for it with KK.

I think your being to results oriented with this post. You have barely enough chips to make it though the blinds 1 more round. You have the second best hand in Hold Em and you made the right play. You know you will win 70+% of the time just keep focusing on playing well, you got unlucky is all.

Yeah like I said JD,in my head I was putting it at 60-40 against to turtle home here and no doubt,a fold here pretty much locks me into folding every hand the rest of the way. And no in a standard cash MTT it's not very often that I would let myself get to this point unless I've taken a late "beat" as you said or I've been completely card dead for a couple rotations and even in that scenario I would be looking for a position play chance, even if it means taking a flip. And standard non-PSO cash MTT my chips are in the middle so fast that vapor trails would be coming off them. I'm looking to chip up and get further with this hand and I'm not about to sweat blowing a possible min-cash for a nanosecond to do so.But PSO IS PSO afterall......

For example the very next PSO I had AA in MP2 with enough chips left to fold thru one set of blinds and sitting 6 from ITM. Into the muck they went and I did'nt give it 2 thoughts. Again PSO IS PSO afterall.............

Damn Paid LOOOONG time no see, lol. I remember us tabling together back in the summer on a ring before I ever even jumped in this PSO nuthouse, and then on a PSO table not long afterwards. Hope all has been good with you.

Yeah like I said above, normal cash MTT/SNG or a ring I'm playing the cowboys hard and I want the guy calling me off with A7o to be at my table the next 100 times I sit and to make that play EVERYTIME.The blinds are'nt even a consideration in my thought process really as I'm never laying down a strong hand on 2 forced all-in blinds that I have covered. Only reason I opened this post is to get a discussion going vis-a-vis this hand,in this spot,in PSO. Normal cash situation, yeah, you're 100% right. I made the right play and just have to focus on that and load up the next one.

PSO being what it is though there can be an argument made the other way,but like I said in the earlier posts I think even in PSO I made the right play here. As I did with the AA fold in the next one.
