There were a lot of draws out there and the pot was about 50% of my stack so my thoughts is that i just wanted to take this one down.

What do u think of my play? Any thoughts?

You might have gotten a little uppity there. You could have considered betting about 1/3 of the pot. It might have come across as weak, and you might have gotten your opponent to hang themselves by shoving over top. It also would have priced them out of a draw. Just an idea to consider.

The only real draws out there on the flop are KJ and AJ. I suppose 97 as well but doesn't seem like this would be in his range both preflop and chasing a dummy end of the straight post flop. Maybe he's peeling a card with AK, although many players would 3b you pre with that. Not worried about back door spades, he'd have to specifically have AsJs or KsJs to have picked up this draw, while possible, that's an extremely small part of his range. When he calls the flop he probably has a lot of Q's in his range. He's unlikely to have a pair+FD since the Qs and Ts are out. He can have a pair+SD like QJ, or AQ/KQ none of which you really want to fold out. A half pot bet should be enough to keep it all in while denying good odds, getting you value for your hand. 1/3rd pot is a nice alternative if the villain is aggro enough to shove the turn with 1 pair vs. a bet they perceive as "weak". Probably prefer about 1/2 or a tad over that myself.
